True to our holistic approach, we optimize the entire drive train control system. To do this, we deliver control unit solutions consisting of hardware and software for all contemporary types of transmissions. As well as enhancing driving comfort, these solutions cut fuel consumption and thus reduce emissions.
The units feature Integrated Powertrain Management (IPM®) software, which manages the complete power train by means of intelligent communication over the CAN bus between the vehicle’s electronic control unit, transmission control system, and integrated electric motor. This means that the driver’s need for more torque is immediately interpreted and communicated to the engine and transmission control units. Like IntelligenTip, IPM® can be used to control all types of transmissions.
Flexibility is also an important objective: The IPM® functions can be flexibly implemented to suit the design of the drive train, with options including both engine and transmission management as well as various power train control units. IPM® also handles communication with the other control units.
Automatic or continuously variable, dual clutch, transfer case, or differential drive: whatever the application, we offer control solutions to cover every requirement. The solution can also be integrated as a mechatronic unit inside the transmission.
